A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a raid on a terrace house.

Durham Constabulary searched a house in Gill Crescent South, Fencehouses, yesterday afternoon, Sunday, May 16, and found a quantity of suspected drugs alongside paraphernalia.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and has since been interviewed and released under investigation.

A spokesperson for Chester-le-Street Police said: “Yesterday afternoon, acting on concerns raised by, and intelligence provided by the local community, officers from Neighbourhood Policing Teams executed a magistrate’s search warrant to disrupt the supply of controlled drugs.
